11 June 2010: Music of the World Cup

Whether you call it fußball, football, soccer, futbol, or just the beautiful game, you can’t avoid it this month as the FIFA World Cup comes to South Africa for the next month. Work stops, the moods of nations rise and fall with the performance of their select 11. Spin The Globe rung in the start of the competition (Yea South Africa!) with music about soccer and from the nations in the competition. And on June 12 we’ll be watching for a repeat of that 1950 result; sorry my English friends…
