You’ve seen the social media threads with people posting their 10 favorite albums or the 15 best concerts. Well this show highlights 20 albums that were Spin The Globe’s gateway to more global music. From western musicians introducing other global sounds (thanks, Stewart Copeland, David Byrne, and Paul Simon!) to albums I stumbled across in used CD stores (Moana & the Moa Hunters, Rossy, township music compilations), these are some of the sounds that led me deeper into the “world music” rabbit hole.
